Last week went rather slow to be honest, i think its because we haven't had much work in from construction but no doubt it will be coming in thick and fast over the next few days! On Thursday 19th and Wednesday 20th Jude, Rose and I had the fun task of creating a muddy war like floor for the drama 'Sons of Ulster' which is being shown at the Tron Theatre in Glasgow.
We managed to get the floor done for the show really quickly and think its because we were allowed to have fun with the design as well as put in our own 'artistic vision.' Basically i just thought of the film 'War Horse' and the muddy fields of the Somme! To get different textures, tones and depths we used a variety of browns and greens, applying the paint using textured rollers, rags, plenty of water and even jeans on a stick, yup jeans.
