More Bricks
At the start of this term things weren't very busy as we hadn't received much from construction to start painting. However, the build for the opera 'Magic Flute' is now in full swing. We have began late nights and next week we will also being doing Saturdays to plough through the thousands (no exaggeration there) of bricks to be painted.
Thankfully though we have finished the gold wall (headed by Jude) and it looks fantastic, and we are halfway through all the black bricks which I am in charge of. It has been scary being in charge of such a large piece, as to be honest when I did my sample of about 10 bricks I just went for it, but trying to teach others my technique was daunting! Hopefully this will speed up this week as we have managed to persuade the designer that there was just to many bricks to do and it just wasn't feasible, so now we have made the bricks a bit bigger which should save time, idenden and endless rolls of masking tape!
