It's so good to be home and being really daft with my brother and sisters. Everyone I talk to thinks my family are bats, and that we have the craziest stories every! Anyways as the my brother and sisters are back I have being swaying away from my negotiated project! On Saturday I went to the German Market in Aachen which was good fun and we also popped into the Lindt factory store ... NOMNOM! However, today I hopped back down to the basement and went with a new P.O.A!

Basicialy I decided I would paint him how I would approach a normal portrait so that I can bring in all the crazy colours on top afterwards. Remember I how I was painting from this image?

Andrew Salgado - Parentheses 

Well, I soon realised that I was being stupid copying him as his highlights and shadows were obivisouly in different places then my brother and think this is why I kept on stalling as I was trying to make my brother look like him. As I stated at the begining of this project I want to paint my brother in the style of Andrew Salgado, so I had a good look at his paintings today and I feel I need to be more expressive so I am working from a range of his paintings but especially this one:

It's definetly not finished yet, there is still a lot for me to do but I am feeling much more positive about my painting today! Who knows if I will do any painting tomorrow as it's CHRISTMAS!
